The standardised coffee tasting ritual, called ‘cupping’, can seem strange and exotic. But just like when tasting wine, you can use specific tasting techniques to bring out different aspect of coffee, like aroma, flavour, body or aftertaste.
At the beginning of this workshop you will learn about the coffee plant, it’s origins and varieties. We’ll explain the different processing methods, from wet to dry and everything in between, and how they impact flavour.
And then we will get down to some serious tasting of different coffees, side by side. Watch out: slurping is not only allowed, it’s mandatory!
